As various AI forecasting techniques and objective rainfall forecast guidance rapidly developed in recent years, the Central Weather Bureau (CWB) of Taiwan has begun to use such products to assist in weather forecasting, especially in operational typhoon forecasting and very short-term rainfall prediction. The Taiwan Severe Weather Page for Experimental Forecast Products (TSWP) is established under the cooperation of the Center for Weather Climate and Disaster Research (WCDR), National Taiwan University (NTU), and CWB Weather Forecast Center (WFC). This website selectively displays several experimental products to obtain practical feedback from users, as well as product evaluation and improvement direction; the site also serves as a medium for potential international cooperation.

From the perspective of weather research and the development of forecasting techniques, Taiwan needs more effective platforms to test experimental products and give feedback early in their developmental stage. Regarding policy advocacy, a port should be established to share the latest forecasting technology with disaster prevention units and international partners. Moreover, the professional forecasting and decision-making process of forecasters should also be publicized to the public.

This project uses the Google Cloud Platform as the web server and releases experimental products in the name of WCDR and WFC through the NTU subdomain. The static web pages present global model rainfall products, CWB numerical model rainfall products, and various AI forward-looking analysis and forecast products, including DeepQPF radar precipitation forecast and TCSA typhoon structure analysis. 鑒於近年各式AI預報技術及客觀降雨指引快速發展，中央氣象局開始應用許多前瞻產品輔助天氣預報，在颱風預報作業與極短期降雨預報方面尤有進展。為將這些產品展示給更多使用者，台大天災中心與氣象局預報中心合作建置「臺灣劇烈天氣實驗預報產品展示頁面」，選擇性地將實驗預報產品展示於半公開網站，以獲取各方實務經驗回饋並評估預報產品之效益與改進方向，亦作為與國際交流之媒介。

就天氣預報技術研發而言，臺灣需要更多有效之平台測試實驗性產品，並將實務預報經驗在產品研發階段進行回饋。而就政策宣導方面，應建立管道向各防災單位與國際合作夥伴分享最新預報技術，也應向國人宣傳預報員之專業預報決策過程。

本計畫使用google雲端平台架設網站伺服器，透過台大網域，以天災中心與預報中心之名義，共同發布實驗性產品。網站以靜態網頁方式呈現圖資，包含：全球模式降雨預報、氣象局數值模式降雨預報、及各式AI前瞻分析預報產品，如：DeepQPF雷達降水預報、TCSA颱風風場結構分析等。請參照產品說明頁面 。
